Microblading & Powder Brows
What is Microblading?
Properly shaped eyebrows will frame your face, create a more youthful appearance, and take tons of time off your daily makeup routine!
Microblading, also known as eyebrow embroidery, 3D eyebrows, or feathering, is a form of permanent makeup that artistically enhances the overall appearance of the eyebrow to mimic natural-looking hair.
Unlike traditional tattooing, which uses a machine, microblading artists manually apply each hair stroke into the superficial layers of the skin using a sterile and disposable handheld tool. The technique uses color pigment formulated to match your original eyebrow shade and blends perfectly into your natural eyebrows once healed.
The results are a realistic, natural, fuller looking eyebrows.
Two-Appointment Process
Your eyebrow transformation is not completed until after the touch-up appointment. Your touch-up appointment will be scheduled for approximately 4-6 weeks after your initial appointment. This allows enough time for the pigment in the epidermis to properly heal so we can assess the color retention and make adjustments as necessary.
Results vary per person and can only be determined once the skin has fully healed. The pigment will lighten 20-40% during the healing process and certain hair strokes may completely disappear and seem patchy. This is completely normal and the reason for the touch-up. Skin cells also turn over more frequently on oilier skin types causing the color to fade quicker than drier skin types.
Those with oilier skin types may require more frequent touch ups or consider Ombré /Powder Brows.
Microbladed eyebrows will fade over time and an annual Color Boost is recommended to keep them looking fresh. Every client retains pigment differently based on skin type, age, sun exposure, daily routine, etc. The results will typically last between 9 months to 18 months and there may be traces of pigment in the skin for up to 5 years.
Is Microblading for you?
Microblading is ideal for clients with sparse brow hair looking to restore the appearance of natural-looking hair in their brows.
This technique is an excellent option for anyone suffering from alopecia, trichotillomania or any other condition that causes hair loss, as well as those who simply aren’t pleased with their eyebrows.
Is microblading painful?
Most people report only feeling minor pressure or discomfort and less pain than a typical tattoo due to the use of a numbing cream. Of course, this will depend on your own personal tolerance to pain. Some level of pain or discomfort should be expected.
We do not recommend Microblading for the following:
